Saxophonist Christian Forshaw’s debut album Santuary reached No 1 in the classical charts, and explored the ecclesiastical soundworld he had known as a chorister, utilising the saxophone to create the purity of high descant lines.

His latest collaboration with soprano Grace Davidson, Historical Fiction, similarly reconfigures the music of Handel, Gibbons and Purcell for soprano, saxophone and organ, creating a musical landscape that is both contemporary and timeless.
