After a break for the LIVE music of Spring Day, we resume with our Postcards series, releasing the seventh video:

This film features music by Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges – who, in his lifetime, was as famous as Mozart, but whose music is only recently starting to gain widespread attention again. The choice of Bologne’s music was inspired by Beverley’s magnificent Georgian heritage and architecture, of the same era – and so we are pleased to share that our forthcoming autumn festival takes this same period as its main theme. We are proud to be sponsored by the Georgian Society for East Yorkshire for this festival, and look forward to exploring stories of the region and of the globe from this time. Be sure to keep 21st – 23rd September clear, and come and join us for a veritable feast of music-making in Beverley.
