New Paths announces 2018 Beverley Chamber Music Festival programme

New Paths is thrilled to announce the programme for the 2018 Beverley Chamber Music Festival.  Be in the East Riding of Yorkshire this autumn (26th – 29th September) for a feast of world-class chamber music.  Co-artistic directors Libby Burgess and Martin Roscoe welcome you to a wonderful festival featuring four evening concerts, three daytime recitals, two performances for children, a talk, and a masterclass – all within the spectacular medieval surroundings of St Mary’s Church.

Libby and Martin are joined by a stellar cast of artists including Liza Ferschtman, Doric String Quartet, Tim Lowe and Marta Fontanals-Simmons.

The programme is peppered with Bohemian music – from Martinu and Janacek to Suk and Dvorak – in celebration of St Wenceslas’ Day, which falls during the festival.

New Paths is honoured to have been entrusted with the running of the Beverley Chamber Music Festival; we greatly look forward to building on the festival’s excellent quarter-century history.

Beverley has been a centre of pilgrimage for centuries, as represented by the famous pilgrim hare of St Mary’s (said to be the inspiration for Lewis Carroll’s white rabbit). We extend a warm invitation to you to make your own musical pilgrimage here this autumn.
