New Paths is delighted to welcome cellist Cara Berridge back to Beverley for its 2018 festival. Cara is a veteran New Paths artist, having played in all of our festivals since inception, and is a popular performer with audiences in Beverley. Cara and her fellow cellist, Torun Stavseng, are the backbone of our string section, playing in too many concerts to list here. A few highlights of Cara’s appearance in the festival will be:
- Schubert’s Piano Trio in E flat with Libby Burgess (piano) and Eva Throrarinsdottir (violin) in Footsteps Through the Snow;
- Sting Sextet No. 1 in B flat by Brahms in the gallery concert, At Sixes and Sevens; and
- Beethoven’s Twelve Variations on ‘See, the conquering hero comes’ in Songs of Praise.
