Cellist: Cara Berridge

New Paths is delighted to welcome cellist Cara Berridge back to Beverley for its 2018 festival.  Cara is a veteran New Paths artist, having played in all of our festivals since inception, and is a popular performer with audiences in Beverley.  Cara and her fellow cellist, Torun Stavseng, are the backbone of our string section, playing in too many concerts to list here.  A few highlights of Cara’s appearance in the festival will be:

  1. Schubert’s Piano Trio in E flat with Libby Burgess (piano) and Eva Throrarinsdottir (violin) in Footsteps Through the Snow;
  2. Sting Sextet No. 1 in B flat by Brahms in the gallery concert, At Sixes and Sevens; and
  3. Beethoven’s Twelve Variations on ‘See, the conquering hero comes’ in Songs of Praise.

Cara is cellist of the celebrated Sacconi String Quartet.  Hear her playing Ravel’s String Quartet in F major with them live from the Wigmore Hall here:
