Festival violinist Maria Włoszczowska a Bach Prize Winner

Huge congratulations to festival violinist, 26 year old Maria Włoszczowska, who yesterday won 1st Prize and Audience Award at the XXI Leipzig International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition.

We are absolutely thrilled for Maria and cannot wait to welcome her to Beverley in the Autumn. You can hear this consummate young chamber musician play in the closing concert of the festival (Phantasy: Four Quartets) alongside Libby Burgess on 29th September 2018.

In the mean time, here is Maria playing the sublime Largo from Bach’s Sonata for Solo Violin in C major BWV 1005 live from the XV International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition in 2016 (in which Maria was a finalist).
